Against Me Against Me is arguably the new 'buzz' band. Seeing them in Gainesville would lead you to believe that they will be the next Epitaph signing, but let's hope that doesn't happen. This is a far cry from their days as a duo playing acoustic guitar and banging on buckets. Now a full band with actual drums, Against Me has tapped into the country punk thing that, This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb, has been parading around for years now and added hints of such musical influences as Leatherface, Gunmoll and Hot Water Music. Don't get me wrong, though - this album can provide one hell of a dance party, extremely catchy songs and some good sing a longs. |
