Music Circus - presented by California Musical Theatre takes place at the Wells Fargo Pavilion. The incredible new venue has the circular stage of the original tent and is located in downtown Sacramento near a variety of restaurants to enjoy before and after shows. The summer series features some of the best Broadway musicals from July - September for music fans of all ages. The series will open on Saturday, July 7th with Thoroughly Modern Millie which will run through July 12th. Sacramento Area 4th of July Events & Music:
There are some great 4th of July Events in the Sacramento area with fireworks and a variety of musical entertainment. Here are a few to choose from: The Sacramento Independence Day Celebration will take place at Cal Expo Fairgrounds on Saturday July 4th at the grandstands with a huge fireworks display at 9:30PM. Other events inside Cal Expo include live music & dancing, food & drink vendors, and kids activities beginning at 5PM. Hagan Park’s 4th of July Celebration in Rancho Cordova will host two fireworks shows over two nights beginning Friday and again on Saturday. A holiday parade around the park begins at 10AM on Saturday morning with carnival rides, kids activities, and musical guests Friday and Saturday that include Pablo Cruise & Double Funk Crunch and more. If you are in downtown Sacramento or Old Sacramento on Thursday or Friday night you will be able to see the Fireworks Shows at Raley Field after the Sacramento Rivercats games. Roseville Fourth of July Celebration will take place at Royer Park in Roseville and begins with a parade at 10AM on Saturday and music from Capitol Pops Concert Band. Events include a fun run and children’s activities with music and a fireworks show at 9:30PM at Placer County Fairgrounds. Annual Elk Grove 4th of July will take place at Elk Grove Regional Park and events include live music, kids activities, food & drink vendors beginning at 3PM on Saturday, and a fireworks show at 9:30PM. The 49th Annual Folsom Pro Rodeo will take place at Dan Russell Arena in Folsom beginning on Thursday July 2nd, with a cattle run down Old Town Sutter Street. Daily events include rodeo competitions, a carnival, kids activities, country music & dancing with The Dave Russell Band THRS - SAT and nightly fireworks shows over the arena.

Konocti Resort Amphitheatre is located two hours north of Sacramento overlooking Clear Lake. The venue is a great setting for a variety of outdoor concerts that take place May - October.
